Sickness 2000 plan

The Sickness 2000 Plan gives you benefit when you suffer illness. It also provides a death benefit of a guaranteed cash sum to your dependents. In addition there are other discretionary grants given to members.

Who is it for?
Anyone over the age of 16 and up to the age of 64 in good health may apply for membership.


What are the benefits?
• Sickness benefit £20 a week
• Death benefit £500.00
• Optical and dental grant up to £45.00 each year.
(This is a discretionary benefit and is reviewed annually).
• Confinement grant £20.

How much will it cost?
Contribution rates are relative to your age on joining. The benefits shown above are for a man aged 30 on joining and would cost £2.09 every four weeks (27.17 a year).

What are the Advantages?
This plan gives financial assistance in times of illness with sickness benefits and death benefit. You also have the option to continue contributing for the death benefit after you reach 65. In addition, there are currently grants for optical and dental treatment, confinement and accident. All these benefits can be had at affordable rates.
