Stocks and Shares ISA

The Stocks and Shares ISA is a tax-exempt, saving with profit, life assurance policy.

Who is it for?
Anyone from age 18 up to the age of 70 years old

What are the benefits?
Long term tax free capital growth, plus life assurance cover of ten times the annual premium to a maximum of £10,000. For example, premiums of £1,000 a year have £10,000 life assurance.

How much will it cost?
Because of the generous tax savings the investment is limited to £890 a month or £10,680 a year. However you can start from as little as £5 a month or £60 a year or proportionally higher amounts in multiples of £5 a month or £60 a year.

Changes to the Regulations
From 6 April 2008 all ISA’s lose the distinction between Maxi and Mini. Our ISA will be classed as a stocks and shares ISA. However our investment policy will not change and funds will still be invested in: residential property, government gilts and equities.

Proof of identity
Regulations designed to protect you from identity theft and to protect organisations from attempts to use them to launder money mean that financial services organisations, including Druids Sheffield Friendly Society, need to prove the identity of their customers.
